This time I did eat them...

11 September, 2013

Cycling along the Loire a Velo track I came across a familiar berry.

This time I was brave enough to eat them.

  1. I have only one thing to say - how is it that you are a gardener and have such nice nails?
    Happy adventuring!

    1. Ha. It's purely good nail genetics. My nails have always grown nicely. Not through any virtue or effort of my own. But in this sort of view you don't see the dirt under the nails :)

  2. Yay! There's no mistaking the good old blackberry - notice a couple of sneaky raspberries in there too. Hope you're having a fantastic trip!

    1. Yes, it's an easy pick, but a good 'un. I didn't see the raspberries, just thought they were under ripe blackberries. And I'm having the time of my life, thanks for asking :)

  3. So I guess you didn't poison yourself given that you are posting? There is always hesitation at eating blackberries in Oz given that they are so often sprayed.

    1. Yes, I rarely pick the at home for this reason. But I saw someone else picking a basket full, so felt they would be safe. In fact, I've only seen one area signed that looked like it was saying not to eat, poisoned (or at least that's what my poor knowledge of the French language tells me it said). But no, I didn't die or feel sick so I'm feeling pretty safe.
