Good crop, bad crop...

Is this not one of the best berry harvests to be seen?

And is this not one of the worst garlic harvests to be seen?

Ah well. Sometimes you win 'em, sometime you lose 'em.

  1. So it's not just me then - garlicwise that is. I wish i had some beautiful berries to balance the ledger. Ah well my garlic is marginally bigger (that is the optimist in me talking - by marginally I mean very very marginally - inperspectible to the naked eye marginally, but I haven't harvested all mine yet so some might be...).

    1. Yours are probably more than marginally bigger. Trust me these pictures make them look better than they really are.

  2. I have never had success with garlic either, or carrots for that matter, but what a majestic berry haul!

    1. My garlic was better last year, but this year it was in a spot that gets some sun, but not a lot. Next year I'm trying it in a sunnier spot.

  3. It must be a bad garlic year I pulled mine out and threw them in the compost with disgust. Even my onions were pathetic. My word that berry crop is outstanding. At least there is something brilliant coming out of the garden

    1. I agree, blame the year/weather! :) My onions aren't too bad, but they are in a completely different area. But yes, I can't complain when I get those sorts of raspberry crops - they really make up for failures!
